The remote entry clicker cost about $90 from the dealer. I just bought one on ebay for $25. The remote is very easy to program, just turn the ignition on and off a several times and press the door open button on the clicker.

Yes you can program one yourself. Directions are in either the Owners manual or the Service manual, can't remember which. Directions also available somewhere on this forum or at H and A accessories. Good luck.

EDIT: It's a different part # and directions if you have the OEM alarm.

Many fobs will work with your MY2001, but perhaps not the latest S2000 ones. My wife's '99 CRV fob worked with my S2000. You shouldn't have to pay a lot at a dealer - find a used one somewhere, like ebay.

You actually program the car, not the fob. Instructions are here. Scroll down to SanMarinoCpe.
