For some reason, I think it just looks "unfinished" without a frame on the rear. That square area back there just looks to open and generic to me, but that may just be how "I" see it in that area.

 

I would def. go with red. I have a black one just like the one you posted and wish I had gotten red. Maybe one day I will switch them out. BTW, if you deciede on the black one, let me know and I will sell mine. It is in almost new condition, just normal small scratches. Or if anyone else wants it, PM me with an offer.

 

I vote red, since it's complimenting the tail lights (red with chrome around them) and red interior.

As you know (having given me permission to use a photo of your car as my avatar ), I had the good taste to choose the same color combination as yours. I've got the "red" plate frame and it looks great - really compliments and highlights the red tail lights, red hoops and interior with the top down, and the red Rick's wheel badges I have. Regardless of the color you go with, I think you'll agree that the lusterous chrome frame is definitely a classy addition to the rear of the car.

 

I like the HandA chrome one with black letters, I have that one.
