Default S2000 in Mexico

I hope this hasn't been covered in too much detail, the search function seems to be down at the moment.

I am working in Mexico for the next year. I have been given a car allowance. I wanted to pick up a used S2000, however, it doesn't appear that these are sold here, nor ever have been.

Does anyone know how I might go about getting one down here, or is it more trouble than it's worth. My spanish is terrible so far, so reading other resources for these answers has proved fruitless.

Thanks.

Actually I would be 10 TIMES as afraid of getting my top slashed and seats stolen in Florida vs mexico.

The only reason i wouldnt nessisarily want a vert in mexico depends on where your at in mexico. In San Migel De Allende the roads are all either gravel/cobbelstone or crappy pavement and its extremely dusty. So Ap1 wheels and a hardtop would be ideal.

I'd be more concerned as a gringo driving a flashy car with no top - you'd be a big target for kidnapping.

Get an Escalade with tinted windows. Everyone will think you are a drug kingpin.

The key is WHERE in mexico. Some areas are safe. Some are not. Where you at?
