How "stock" or "new" is the 2006 S2000 that they tested? All red seats were not an option here in the US in 2006, only black-red with Silverstone??? No window tape either??? Is the tested mule euro spec with an F20???

Edit: Nevermind, "2006" appears to be a misprint, the car actually tested was a "2009".

Rankings above also similar to C&D results at VIR. Fwd Cobalt SS also beat S2K "CR" at VIR. List must be flawed and data gathered pointless since S2K not on top of the list...LOL!

Interesting to check out the lap times for different cars and compare, but it doesn't make me like the S2k any more or less.

Have to say, I didn't expect the Miata to be within 1.5 sec of the S2k and 2 sec of the MS3 and RX-8. I know 2 sec is a lot on a 1:50 lap, but it still seems close to me. I guess 170 hp pulls 2410 lbs more easily than I thought

these articles should be taken with a grain of salt...if I drove the S at Laguna, it would be last place. If the Stig drove it, it will probably be number one.

There are so many variables on the track. Even if the same person drove each car there would be variance, ie driver gets tired, looses focus, misses a mark...

Enjoy your car because you love it.

I think the S2000 still had the spring spacers installed and a set of Blizzaks

now top gear, now there's a track that is the say all, what ever happens on that track is written in stone...
Right, ... especially when after the times they put conditions between parenthesis.

At least in Laguna Seca they almost always have the same weather.
