I don't think ANY car that doesn't come with an option for an automatic transmission is a chick car.

 

Haven't really payed that close of attention, sorry. I know my wife still hasn't driven mine and I 've had it since Jan. 31, 02

 

I know there are at least 5 girls drive S2000 at where I live.

I conclude that the S2000 is a great car for guys to attract girls with. Enough nice young girls have smiled at me [balding and obviously 60+ years old], and I enjoy the flattery. However, there are 4 possibilities which must be considered:
- S2000 is a great way for guys to attract girls. I think this is the dominant one.
- S2000 is a great way for guys to attract guys. I don't even want to go there.
- S2000 is a great way for girls to attract guys. Probably true, if the guy is not intimidated.
- S2000 is a great way for girls to attract girls. Hmmmmm..... gotta think on that one.

 

imo, it's the standard transmission that prevents a deluge of girls getting the car... i asked every girl i knew if they knew how to drive a manual trans. and NOBODY did. some girls are lucky enough to learn the stick early in their driving life, the unluckier ones are determined.

i think if the s2000 came in an automatic version, the ratio of guys and girls owning the car would start to even out. but it better not because i went through hell (and so did my baby) learning how to drive stick.

plus, it's not heavily advertised as the accords & etc's are (and neither is the production)...and you really don't see as many on the streets... (it's been 2 weeks since i've seen one in southern california).

but it is an eye-catching car for whatever gender you are & a *guy magnet*

 

haven't had time to read all replies but can say this:

S2000 = chick magnet!!! all the chicks always honking at me, (even some guys which is pretty weird)

so far i've only seen one chick riding the s2000, and she was driving a yellow one. go for the S if it's rare where you live - ppl love it!!! (most of them do - except for the haters)

i love this car!!!
