I just caught the commercial a few minutes ago. They show the Lancer driving through some city streets. After a few "minutes" they pull up to some guys standing outside of their cars, kind of car club if you will. They ask for directions and apparently get them. The last shot shows them driving away and there is an S2000 at the bottom of the screen. It was hard to make out the color, as it was a night shot.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen it? Not that it's that great, just kind of caught me off guard.

saw the commercial...it's sucks. How would that ad get me excited about buying that car?

One that pops into my head was the RSX-S ad when it was a new model. FOX ran it during football games on Sunday and it was LOUD and attention grabbing. I just remember my 3 buddies and I stopping and listening as the RSX hit VTEC 3 times as the driver accelerated through some twists. That was great in theater sound!

Car commercials need to be about the car and not the schmuck actor (demographic rep) in the ad.

I saw it as well, but didn't spot the S, I'll be sure to look for it next time.
That Lancer is the ugly version of the Evo... Guess they put the S in there to make the commercial more appealing lol because that is one ugly car

 

Thats the worst commercial ever - every time I see it I am reminded of the OZ Rally lancer I saw that the owner tried to make appear to be an EVO by putting the EVO taillights and EVO spoiler on it. Worst thing I've ever seen

 

I think you mean the Evo is a nice version of the Lancer...
