Default S2000 Numbers

Does anyone know the ship-in numbers for S2000s in the United States for each of it's production years? Basically the number of S2000s that arrive on US soil. Not the number sold...(the "sell through" number)...

I was given the following from my dealer.

US model S2000 production numbers

2000 saw 7290 cars built and assigned a 2000 MY V.I.N.
2001 saw 9241 cars built and assigned a 2001 MY V.I.N.

These are US Bound cars only.

If I remember correctly, a Black '01 that a local dealer let me test drive last October had a VIN of #9445, so that should mean that there were closer to 9500 built for U.S. But I could be wrong.

Apparently no one likes to bother with the 'search for'... I think this must be the 10th time I've posted these numbers since mid-Feb:

Hmmm.... didn't Honda claim they would only import about 5,000 S2K's per year to the U.S.?

Sounds like they have doubled that number every year.

I believe it was the Honda Dealer that said this and not Honda themselves.

2. I do have a good sense of humor

Thanks
