yeah the s2000 is a true girls car, look at all those pure race-ready s2000's in japan.

If the driver's side sun visor has a vanity mirror, it's automatically a girl car? Hmm... that doesn't sound right.

I really don't think there is a disctinction between cars made for girls and cars made for boys. They are made for people who have the money to afford them.

I bought the S because it has great handling, acceleration and styling. A lot of my friends that own del Sols are guys, but everyone keeps saying it's a girl car. It's only a girl car if you mod it to look that way. For example, one girl I know with a del Sol painted it metallic purple and has pink fur covered seats along with some Powerpuff Girls stuff inside. THAT is a girl car. The del Sol itself is not a girl car unless you make it that way, and the same goes for the S2000 or any other make/model. ^_^

I think he only said that to get you all frazzled.

Me and my friends say things like that to each other anytime we get a new car. Nothing brings down a guy's ego than statements like:

"Why did you get a chick car?"
"Couldn't you have gotten a less feminine color?"

or

"You look kinda funny behind the wheel of that."

I don't think cars are "made" for girls or guys either. But, they definately are marketed for the different sexes. I'm sure a lot of time goes into the design of a car and what the average demographic for that type of car would drive. For example, while a Saturn isn't specifically designed for a woman, it's definately not marketed for the sports car enthusiasts, male or female.

While females may drive vipers, vettes and mustangs I think we will all agree that if you lined up 100 people who claimed to be sports car enthusiasts you would find a large majority of them to be male and not female. With that assumption, we can also agree that the S2000 is a sports car, right? I think the biggest appeal of the S2000 to the ladies is that it is a small(cute) convertable, regardless whether it has a 240 or a 130 hp engine.

Before any ladies here feel like ing me, there are always exceptions to the rule.
