S2000 Out of Warranty
#1
I have been thinking lately whether I want to own an S2000 out of warranty. I am thinking in light of the various problems others are seeing that I do not. Because of this, next year, it will be time to get rid of it. Right now I am thinking either M3 or a Blue S2000 with navi (cross fingers that honda brings one over to the US)
What are you all's thoughts on owning this car after the 3 years is up.

I'm hoping any major problem will show up in those three years and get taken care of during the scheduled services and via TSBs. So the car will be perfect just before the warranty expires...

If you are really worried, why not just get the extended warranty. I probably end up getting it before the warranty expires in a year or so.
On the other thought, the new M3 is an excellent choice.

Federal law mandates that a manufacturerer must stock parts for cars "...up to 10 years."
This means that the last year produced --- say 2004, Honda would be required to have spare parts until 2014. After that, it would only be parts used in other models that are the same in the future years.
Now I have a '59 Sprite and most parts can be found, all abeit expensive! but findable.
