Default S2000 Press Release

I just stumbled across this press release from 2008. http://corporate.honda.com/press/article.aspx?id=4098

It's depressing. What a great car. I hope they replace it with something better when the economy gets out of the slump.

Everybody should go ping the link and give it some hits so Honda sees there is interest in the S2000! (Although maybe they don't even study the web statistics )

sales figures speak for themselves. They peaked 5 years ago.

I'm sad to see it go. At the same time that makes the car even more interesting for me.

Not a lot sold, no longer in production and a wonderful car. Has the makings of a classic.

I dont mind they stopped making them in 15 years it will be a classic and you'll be hard pressed to find one in good condition, hopefully I'll still have mine

I actually don't mind that they stopped making the s2000. This way, I don't have to look at a 2010 S2000 and wish that I had that instead of my MY08. Plus, the S2000 had the decency to die when it was still a true sports car...just think what it would be like if it had gotten soft over the years like the Mustang, Charger (4 doors...wtf?!?), etc etc

No offense to Miata, I hear it's a great car. But a brand new red Miata parked next to me last week. Next to the S2000, the new Miata still looks like a toy. And next to the Miata, S2000 looks a lot more solid and stable, with way better looks.

It'll look less like a toy when a experienced driver laps you in a Miata.

As for looks, I'm sure there are plenty of domestic fanboys that think the same thing about the S.
