If you are in a market for a FLAWLESS rare white w/red interior 2001 S2000 with approximately 5K miles let me know. I will make you a great deal. I've already upgraded the speakers/amp.

I'm selling it because of family.

Mark even has a Muz-stuff equipped S2000! =D

me? I paid 500 over, but that was last year, and before we implimented the policies on this board with referring individuals like yourself to dealerships who offer s2000's for MSRP or below MSRP. So, if you see a dealership listed on this site (hint hint, check the library at the top of the page), then they are selling at or below MSRP.

Hope this helps!

Your best bet is priceline.com, however the odds of them finding you a silver/red are pretty slim - there don't appear to be any in SoCal right now. I contacted every dealer around, and many flat out old me that they don't order the red interior anymore because it's 'ugly'... Go figger! Of course, if you want to wait until Oct/Nov the '02s will be around... That being said - Good Luck!

boy...dealers just don't know - huh? i guess you'd really have to love the car to go with the red (which i do). it's just too much for some people i suppose.

Although I bought mine in Metro Honda in Montclair for $3000 over, I should have waited two more weeks and get it from Norm Reeves in Cerritos. At least they give you some dealer options for the $3000 they are charging you.

BTW I tried to get Norm Reeves to order me a silver/red in late 1999. But they told me that they do not take orders or deposits and they were only selling them by first come first serve basis. And they refused to order silver/red because the first one they ever ordered sat in their showroom for three days before it got sold. Usually the car gets sold within a hour of getting it off of the trailer, so they claim.

You should try Autobytel.com Once you tell them what car you're looking for, the Honda dealerships in SoCal area will call you once the car becomes available. At first they will try to gouge you with $5000 over to even $10000 over. Simply tell them that Norm Reeves sells the car for MSRP and that you'd rather wait to buy a car from them and hang up. (technically this is true since Norm Reeves sells the car at MSRP but charges exobitant amount of money for those mandatory dealer installed options.) They will probably call you back with a better offer. And once they do it's up to you to decide if you want the car bad enough and soon enough. I got impatient after nearly a year of waiting and my salesman or the manager at Norm Reeves had no idea or wouldn't tell me when the car is coming in or tell me what colors they ordered.

But if you are gonna get gouged, wait for the 2002 model to come out. At least that way you'll get a little more for your money compared to us 2000 and 2001 owners.

Also you might be able to find a good deal on used ones on
AutoTrader.com

Or look in "Group buys and for sales" section. Sometimes out of state dealerships post their brand new cars for sale up there and they are always at MSRP or even lower.

I've actually thought about buying a car out of state, but the car I wanted got sold before I contacted them. The quote I got for the cost of shipping a car across country was around $700 I think. If you have a question about buying a car out of state and having it shipped here, you should ask member "Silver" He lives in SoCal and I think he had his car shipped in from Maryland. I hope he doesn't me mentioning his name.

I just purchased a silver/black at Norm Reeves for MSRP.

I went through their internet department and they were good to work with.

I also experienced that they don't take deposits and the 3 cars they had this week were sold on the same day they were delivered.
