My all time favorites.

Where is the gas release button?

There is a secret compartment?

How often do I rotate my tires?

Where does the power steering fluid go?

How about this one...

"Hi, I am about to turn 16 and going to get my first car. I have no driving experience other then playing Need for Speed Underground. Is the S2000 a good first car for me?"

-or-

"What is the difference between MY's of S2000's?"

I asked most of those questions when I first got mine.....sorry all....but I've learned a ton from this site.

1. There will be no s2000 in 2006
2. You can rotate the tires
3. Never dump the clutch....let it go as slowly as possible (thanks wisconsin for that one)
4. The s2000 is the worlds fastest car
5. Never use the search function on this website....just keep asking over and over....then a few more times

the problem with the redline hitting in at 6-7000 is because the car is not warmed up. The ECU will prevent you from killing your engine by VTEC-ing on a cold engine.

1) No one knows about the '06. A lot of people claim to have "inside knowledge," but Honda is notoriously tight lipped. You will know about 2-3 months prior to launch.

2) This is the $1,000,000 question. Everyone asks it, and no one has the answer.

3) Do not hit VTEC (6300 RPM, for MY00) until you have 3 bars on the engine temperature.

4) In order to reset the Maintenance light, you will most likely have to go to the dealer and get them to find the source of the code the ECU is emitting and turn it off for you. Kinda a hastle, but that is how I have done it with all my family's other Hondas.

Sorry for the flaming. The guys are just having fun with you. The questions about the '06, or any "next model year" for that matter are kinda taboo (no one knows anything about it). To avoid getting , avoid those questions....and utilize the searce feature.

I remember that I had questions like this and appreciated the help that I got on this site.

Know one knows whether there will be an 06 S2K or, if so, how it will be different from the MY 04/05, although this has become a joke because the question has been asked at least once per day for the past several months. Expect some peculiar answers ... because everyone here has the same question, without answers; because some Honda dealers have provided misinformation about the end of the S2K-line to sell cars; and because there are a lot of opinions and rumors on the topic, with no tangible information

Your engine needs to warm-up before vtec can engage and it would be harmful for your engine if it didn't. Regardless of this requirement for vtec, it is not a good idea to rev your S2K or any other engine too aggressively before the car is sufficiently warm and lubricants are working properly for performance driving

We all love our S2Ks, appreciate new members and this is a helpful forum. Please understand that the posts that you will likely receive to your questions are in good-faith and that the arcane answers that you may receive are intended to add a little humor to some common, but important questions.
