Another quick question. What if you only sell 1000 tickets total? You make $20,000 but pay $30k for the car. Is there a minimum amount of tickets that must be sold in order for the raffle to take place?

I want to get in on this, but i live in Texas. Other than me getting up there, IF by the slightest chance i would win, would there be any problem with that? Is there a Minimum age? I assume the winner has to pay nothing, no small taxes or such? Thanks

Answer to ZoomZoomS2: There is no minimum, we are bonded and obligated to hold the raffle on the date specified. We will sell enought tickets, it's all about how much effort we put into it.

Answer to nivek2002: In CT, the minimum age for buying a ticket is 18. The winner would have to pay sales tax on the vehicle. You would also have to check the laws in your state and IRS about other applicable taxes. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner.

I just wanted to thank people who have bought tickets. I've been sending them out the day after I receive the requests.

Can you say how many you've sold so far?

If you were to buy a ticket now it would be numbered between 1200 - 1300. That doesn't mean all the earlier tickets were sold, just that they are circulating amongst people that are trying to sell them. It's hard to know how many are actually sold. That said, the goal is to sell all of them.

Because of requests, we have registered ourselves with PayPal and credit card payments will now be accepted on the raffle site.

so if i want to send money through mail (i don't have a credit card) i would just put 20 dollars in the envelope with the bottom half of the ticket order form?

thanks. i want one bad. even if i don't win, i'll have the peace of mind that i donated to boy scouts. it's a win win situation.
