Default S2000 Rebuilt Title

Hey
I just wanted to post up and get some opinions on buying a Rebuilt Titled S2000. I used to be against buying an s2000 crashed or with theft history but only because mine was so mint. I cant afford a mint one like i had so i wanna save some cash. I am always searching coparts and the auctions looking for one. I am a previous S2000 Owner. I had NFR 02 that was beyond MINT. I had an oem HT, Coilovers and a set of AP2 Wheels. I was so happy but i sold the car for what reason idk. I am looking for another one now. I have been around rebuilt title cars for a while and honestly it doesnt bother me if your keeping the car. If i was buying to sell it would be another story. I found an 06 NFR with 23k miles it is rebuilt and on the road. It was fixed pretty good i dont like the way the headlights have gaps by the bumper. I am guessing the parts arent OEM. He wants 13k with taxes its a dealer so thats alot of cash in taxes. Basically do you guys feel its a decent deal? or should i just keep looking for another one? i would prefer a theft one because replacing seats are much better than a front end. I want atleast an 02 and up and, i really want a NFR or GPW. Sorry no Silver or Yellow here cant do it. if you guys have any info lmk or opinions....Thanks alot

i rather have an 02 with 50k for $13k than a 06 with messed up title but that's just me.

If the car had frame damage then it can't be put back to factory.. No matter what u pull or push it won't be.. In an accident it doesn't just crush the part that was hit.. It sends a shockwave through the car I'm whi h it can ripple the frame.. For example if u had a front end accident and caused frame damage u might look at ur trunk and see that it isn't perfectly aligned no more.. That is because the ripple was sent through the car and when it reached the end of the car it had to where to go so the energy was absorbed by the frame which would twist and contort it...
NOw rebuilt title because of theft is fine in my book.. Just not acciden...

Uh no. Run from that. I would rather have an '00 twice the miles and a clean title than an '06 with that title.

If I were you I would do some investigating. If there was frame damage do not get it. If it was a small hit and fixed good then I wouldn't mind. But by the sound of the Gaps looks like it was hit hard and I wouldn't trust the repair. Basically Title doesn

i been thinking more and more and if i were to get a rebuilt title i really would prefer a theft recovery. The funny thing is the 06 has gaps in the front but the rest of the car is MINT as far as paint and body work everywhere else....i found a nice 03 gpw with missing seats and top but they wants 12k which is too much...car has 47k miles and a clean title..if anyone has any buddies with a theft recovery s2000 please lmk i am interested thanks
