There were what around 67,000 S2000's total?... looks like we have some work to do hunting down the rest
Not sure how much value this is but the following VIN has been salvaged within the last year:
JHMAP214695000288
Location of salvage yard was Newark, New Jersey. The car had 229,305 miles on it. For the exterior color, it states on the paper 'new formula'.
This information came from a part that I bought from the salvage yard. I have no other information.

^Thanks! I've actually been tracking salvage auctions for a few years now -- I've got about 2000 VINs tabulated (averaging a little more than one a day!).
But for Registry purposes, I've decided to add entries (including wrecks/salvages) only when associated with a known owner.
BTW, a salvage-car pro tip: unless the "part" you bought from that yard was the actual chassis/frame, it's not guaranteed that it's from a salvaged car. I've replaced the transmission, passenger door, and both bumpers on my car, so those parts (with their VIN labels) are probably floating around somewhere...but my car still has a clean title.
Here's a recent example, in fact: the salvage auction was for MY02 VIN #6259, but the auction photo of the door panel VIN shows MY03 #2059.
