Honda isn't nice to me either, I paid for most of that and I still have warranty on the engine/drivetrain.
Curious about the wiring and ballast issues... Any of this due to electronic mods?

That's a pretty long list! I'd be pretty upset with all those problems.

my experience, 3 years,. 26,000 miles, no oil use, ever, decent mileage, no problems to fix, no trips to the dealer, none. done all the maintenance myself except for diff and trans fluid changes. a new set of tires, fluids and filters, that's all.....that's it.

my 2001ls miata...in 2.5 years and same mileage, new short block, 3 clutches due to shudder, two sets of brakes due to warping, a new gas tank and some other minor problems...plus two broken windshields in a week...enough to give it all up for the honda.

i also own a 6 sp tl and a new tsx....i have owned other honda products and have had simular experience...

I think the car's overall is pretty reliable. I just got my first incident to my s2k lately. It have a rough idle and engine light on, and i took it to the dealer. Thank god I purchased the extended warranty from 3rd party, hope it will cover the cost. Anywayz, the dealership told me it was the map sensor was bad. I think many Ap1s owner are experiencing this kind of problem.

I like this post. I always wonder it's really a self fulfilling prophecy that the S2000 is considered as the most reliable car when compared across all other cars in UK. Is it because S2000 only has S2000 and no other models? (i.e. BMW 3-series not only include M3, but also 325i, etc). Or is it because Honda owners are more tolerant about minor issues?

I know Hondas are reliable, but are they THAT reliable when compared to other cars like Lexus/Toyota/Porsche? Of course, I hope that this is the case

My vote doesn't really count ... since I have only ~5200km on my car

Basically just had to replace the Timing Chain Tensioner(TCT) once on the car and nothing else... Had to re-torque the spindle nuts on the rear axles to resolve creaking and popping noises... But I was aware of these issues when I purchased the car and expected to have to do so... Drivetrain and reliability are top notch and superb as should be from Honda...
