So far, with 167 votes cast:

96.86% of our test sample have had less than three problems with their S2000.

89.67% have had no more than one problem.

73.05% have had no problems.

Given the number of members we have here I was hoping to get a larger sample, but this isn't too bad. Nearly three out of four owners have reported no problems, and nine out of ten have had at most only one problem with the car. Only about 4 out of 100 owners have had more than one problem. The frequency of threads discussing problems makes the cars seem far less reliable than this poll indicates, and that's something that everyone needs to consider. We mostly hear from people who have problems, and that can make it seem like the car must be fragile or full of defects. If our poll has any validity, then we've pretty well shown that this isn't actually the case. It's just an illusion created by the nature of our forums.

Thanks guy!

Pulling one way or the other under acceleration is frequently the result of uneven tire pressures. Have you checked them lately?

The clutch buzz is harmless, and hasn't bothered me enough to worry about. Most of the time (on the street) I drive around it, and when I'm driving hard I don't have any problem ignoring it.

Secondary air pump failed on me. other than that my alignment is off but thats a personal problem.

I have noticed some peculiar things though but I don't know if they will develop into problems:

1. Every time I bring the RPM's above 6k the engine gets really loud and the car jerks me back into my seat. Is there something wrong with the engine?

2. When I turn in corners really fast the back end tends to slide out, this never happened to me in my corolla. Could there be a problem with the steering?

3. Every time I try to put the car in Reverse and try to get it moving it goes forward, so I end up having to push the car all the time if I want to move backwards.

4. I don't know about you guys but my model never came with a roof so it's really horrible when it rains because I get all wet. I've seen other threads on here about some S owners buy a roof for their car but it costs $3K. You would imagine they would have the decency to include a roof with the car!

Any help would be appreciated!
