Thought it might be interesting to read what S owners have planned for their cars in 2018. Upgrades? Mods?

I have a stock '06. I plan to replace the head unit. My OEM unit's CD player failed, so I'll upgrade it and probably take the OEM unit apart to repair it if possible. I also plan to remove my front bumper to repair the curb damage from a previous owner. My plan is to prepare & repaint the lower couple of inches of the bumper. I think that I can use the contours to help make the repair less noticeable.

I may also look into getting my OEM leather seats replaced. I haven't decided on whether to tackle this myself or have an expert do it.

First mod was this evening 1/1/18 IAT relocate, TB coolant bypass.Result
A 360 deg spin on testing 70+mph straight line and on a dual road =no damage ,never done that before and don't want too again,my life flashed before me

 

-Put 5000 miles on the car
-Put new exhaust, new diff/engine/trans mounts on car
-Visit at least three new states in it

 

Make more miles with him during this year.

Install Diffuser BBK and Recaro Seats

 

Revising induction completely, safety, way more track events and a reversion to my tried and true mechanical setup

 

New trans and motor mounts
Izze kit and air injection valve block off/removal of system
new front underbody plastics
redo the leather on the drivers bolster or get some Bride seats
new strikers and latches for the top
new stereo
Trans fluid

So nothing major, just basic maintenance/restoration type stuff

 

Round out the major points of my STR build with coilovers and a tuning solution.
