Default S2000 Sales Numbers

I was just crunching some numbers that might be of interest:

Calendar Year Sales - Worldwide
1999 11,788
2000 14,167
2001 13,790
2002 3,417 (USA only, four months)

This totals 43,162. Estimating Japan and Europe's sales would place total production through April at very close to 45,000 cars, with the USA receiving 23,296 of them.

Let's see now... There's approximately 280,000,000 people in the US. I guess you could say we have a pretty rare car, huh?

Actually the S2000 was built in calendar year 1999. Yes, the model year in the US was 2000, but they were available in Japan much earlier than in the US in addition to all of the S2000's sold in the US in calendar year 1999.

Are you referring to the population in the US?

So, what exactly is the maximum number of cars produced in a "limited edition"? I'm still pissed that Honda lied about the production numbers!

LOL.

Have you ever tried to make columns in a thread? Even when you type in spaces, they automatically are removed...... at least mine always are. If there is a work-around to put in spaces that will stay -- someone please let me know.

In Japan, S2000 sales started in April 1999. In the USA it was September 1999 -- which sold as "model year 2000" in the states.
