I'd like a set, too. Is it too late? Following up with a PM.

Hey guys and gals-

If you have requested Seat Locks via this thread, or by PM, I've got you on the list.

I called the rep twice on Thursday, but he wasn't in, and I couldn't get away from the O.R. on Friday long enough to make the call (my first solo day of obstetric anesthesia - I did fine, but the surgeons didn't)

If I can't get the rep on the phone on Monday, I'm going to leave a message to go ahead with the Seat Lock shipment A.S.A.P.

I'll send out info and start the Group Buy as soon as I know the Seat Locks are on the way. My guess is that it will start NEXT WEEK.

I'm sure everyone knows this by now:

THE SEAT LOCKS ARE ONLY SOLD TO REGISTERED S2000 OWNERS

I generally request proof of S2000 ownership, so don't be surprised.

I ordered 100 Sets, and there are 73 people on the list, so far.

BEING ON THE LIST DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SET OF SEAT LOCKS.

[If you are on the list, I WILL HOLD A SET OF SEAT LOCKS FOR YOU FOR 2 WEEKS AFTER THE GROUP BUY STARTS, after that - It's first come, first served.]

The upcoming group buy will be the 5th Seat Lock Group Buy on S2ki!

Spoke to the rep this morning, and our order is being processed.

He is going to call me back with a tracking # when the order ships out.

I don't think S2000 seat theft is as big a problem here in Michigan, but I don't wanna find out the hard way that I'm wrong.
Please add me to the list for seat locks and stickers

Thanks Pete,
Brian

Do not buy any S seats unless you know the owner of the car and the seats. It will reduce the black market for "stolen" S seats. Hence, less incentive for stealing S seats.

Cheers,

Hello Pete

Just want to say thanks again.... for keeping with the seat locks
with out you there would be a lot of problem with stolden seats

What about some other locking bolts... for other items on the car?
A. seats - you have
B. hood
C. trunk
D. Custom for the S2000 wheels - not like the lock from honda (dont like)
E. Valve cover
F. locking Break and clutch - locks together

a complete set to lock up the car and call it
"the lock set"

Honda should have a ser # on the seat.... and if someone wanted to buy
the used seat... call honda and see if they are HOT?

like the vin # on a car

Thanks again, good work on the locks
Bill

The other high-dollar items that gets stolen often are the drivers side airbag and the steering wheel. Retail price for the pair is over $1,000.00

It takes less than 2 minutes to remove both.

This is all that is holding on the airbag and steering wheel:

I've been too busy with school lately to work on the locks for the steering wheel and airbag. I'll be done with school and testing by the end of October, and I'll get started on those again.

I'm also working on hood locks. They are similar to aftermarket hood retaining pins and clips, except they lock with a key. Believe me, they are going to look really tight and function well. They're perfect for cars with CF hoods that are already using hood pins.

A lot of thieves pull back the window and reach in and open the door, even if the car has an alarm. Then they open the hood and disconnect the battery. They won't be doing that, or getting to the immobilizer on cars with hood locks!
