just with the height of the s2000, the length of the doors, and an ackward entry/exit causes a half-sit/half-inside pivot to get in the car, plus the head tilt. clazzio leather seat covers are only $300 and i could've sworn they came with replacement foam. not to mention others just swap out to aftermarket seats anyways, i can't see the seat conditions being the primary focus of used car selection when it's an easy fix.

Do you have the Clazzio seat covers? I'm wondering how much travel there is on the backs - that would really drive me nuts! It doesn't look like it would slide around though.

My S has 47,000 km and is showing some wear in the other hand my 07 GTI 176,000 km has 0 wear. Seats look near brand new. I also have an S4 with 46,000 km seats look 100% they are alcantara. Must be a seat issue as I baby my interior.

Find a reputable upholsterer in your town and get a quote on redoing the bolsters and new covers. Price that into any purchase you're considering. No new S2Ks anymore so any car you find will have some wear and tear.

Mine are quite ok when I bought the car 25kmiles

The mostly wear how u enter/exit the car.

The trick is going in leg first and not ASS first.

I've had my seats covered with Wet Okole Seat covers since the car was new. I removed my seat cover to check the seats last month, and the seat looks like new. I have an '03 with 188,000 miles.

I'm a firm believer that if you are careful, they wont get damaged. Aresk3b is right - go in leg first and don't plant your butt on the bolster.

I have a set of black clazzio seat covers that I'm not using if anyone wants a set, they have red stitch, one year old in mint condition. I just put in blue seats so I'm not using these. I might have the plastic bolster supports with them, I'll have to check as I never used those. Hit me up by pm if you are interested.

As many said it is the getting in and out that causes it. You can't adjust the steering wheel and the car is very low to the ground. Even if you were a smaller and younger person you would still have difficulty getting in and out without rubbing against something. especially with the top up. I just stop caring.

you can repair the seat bolster and make it look new again. There is a DIY on here somewhere. All in how you exit and enter the vehicle my 05 looks pretty good wouldn't say new but not worn out just yet.
