Default The S2000 is selling strong.

This was in a press release on Honda's web site.

Reaction to rising fuel prices and increased interest in fuel efficient technologies accounted for record sales of Insight gas-electric hybrid vehicles in May. May Insight sales rose 137.6 percent compared to year-ago results to 903 vehicles - topping the previous record of 573 set in April of this year. The S2000 roadster also recorded its best-ever month with sales up 106.6 percent to 1,312 for the month.

If they sold that many in one month, then they'd have their quota filled in about 3 months, if those are strictly US numbers.

Dont believe the "only 5000 per year to the US" lines.

Yeah, I kind of figured that they were just lying about the 5K per year thing. It was nice to think it was exclusive.

A couple of dealers in MD have multiple s2000 on the lot. I figured sales were slowing, maybe Honda's just shipping more stateside.

Don't believe ANYTHING Honda is saying these days. They are not interested in taking care of thier customers.

I always see at least 1 red one on the lot here. There also always seems to be at least 2 used ones in the paper. Maybe the supply is starting to catch up to the demand...

Here is the link for American Honda car sales. It does appear they have sold 5031 through the end of May. I think they are on target for 7 to 8 thousand.
