S2000 smashed into
WTF,WTF,WTF,WTF,WTF,WTF, This Fri night my last weekend of vacation I was sitting at a red light minding my own p's and q's top down cool breeze relaxing mellow tunes playing then BAM this jabroni rear ends me i get out my car and look at the bumper in dismay then at the driver who's standing in front of her like olds station wagon and say how do you hit a parked car it's not like a tiny clown car that you see at the circus,it's not a motorized one that you buy at Toys R Us. She says that i thought you were going because your brake light wasn't on And i say YEA but I have to wait for the car in front of me to go before i take off do you want me to rearend them like you did to me . Safe to say I shed a tear that night well actually quite a few i'm so depressed i just had some work done to it that morning and all i wanted to do was cruise and listen to my F20c scream it's magical melody all night. So now on my 1st day back to work Mon i have to wake up early call her insurance company, and bring my stook by the Honda dealer and check if anything else is wrong car feels okay she was probably going 5-10mph but it was enough to cause noticable damage. All I want is a new bumper from Honda not a repaired one. And damn it I will get it!!!!! plus if their is anything else wrong to get fixed. Exhaust seems to be making funny sound but it wasn't hit and i looked underneath still in place of hangers and feels nice and tight but i guess i'll find out Mon when the Honda tech's look at it.
ok, here's some soothing words for ya bud: everything should turn out just fine. (knock on wood)
for one, she read ended you while you were at a dead stop. open-and-shut, it is 100% her fault. she is an idiot and her insurance rates will punish her for a long time coming. take comfort in that if you need to. and know this, as crappy as your evening is, her's is 10x worse because she knows that she just slammed herself for a big financial hit and feels like an idiot. and she should feel like an idiot.
another point, you got hit at a slow speed and in the rear, pretty far away from the vitals (like the motor and such). it was on the bumper right? and pretty straight on? so not likely to have jacked with anything like the suspension. the exhaust, sure, but really that's just a horizontal smoke pipe.
if you're worried about frame-tweakage, you could take it into a shop and have them check it. it's probably fine since v. likely you weren't locked down on the brakes so your car rolled forward a bit to absorb the shock. on top of that, the S2000 frame is pretty bomber-strong as it is. but if it makes you feel better have the shop check it. and if the car is tweaked slightly (really unlikely to be due to the impact, honestly), have her pay for it. let her insurance worry about proving that their idiot customer didn't bend your car in the impact. push to have fixed what you honestly think she damaged; bumper, exhaust, etc.
if she or her insurance company try to fight back and point fingers at you (a highly unlikely scenario, since you were so obviously the unwitting victim), fight back, do not capitulate or settle and do not admit to anything but minding your own business when out-of-the-blue this crazy lady who should have her license revoked slams into your car, and damn near breaks your neck!, not to mention the extensive internal and external damage to your vehicle (this is what you say). and rub your neck too, if speaking in person.
but if she's honorable, try to let it go. she might've been having a really crappy day, like her brother died or something, and was distracted and accidentally hit your car. if she steps up and offers to fix what she broke, let it be, get it fixed and then treat yourself to a nice drive again. maybe even buy that mod you've been putting off for a while, ya know? since parts of your car are once again going to be brand new, how about a new whatever that you've been hemming-and-hawing about adding? CAI? Amuse lip? rims? treat yourself maybe. or maybe just treat you and your loved one to a nice dinner out-- you did get in an accident and came out fine. your life and well-being make the S2000 just a collection of metal and plastic in comparison. it coulda been a whole hell of a lot worse. take a nice walk and try to think about how nice the flowers/weather/etc are.
I hope it all turns out for the best. from what you wrote, it's 99% sure that things will turn out fine, and you're still alive and in decent shape aside from the mental trauma you're going through because somebody hit your beautiful S2000 baby. but really, it's just a car and it can be fixed as good as new.
hope this helps!

This is the result of a 15 or 20 mph rear end. With the front and rear bumpers replaced, hood fixed, and miscelaneous parts was about $6 K to repair. The bumpers are inexpensive, even if they are Honda, it the labor to replace / repaint that runs the bill up
