s2000 in the snow
Lots of people drive S2000s in the snow. The smart ones have snow tires. The not-so-smart ones try it with no snow tires and come back here to tell the whole world that the car is undriveable in snow. But then, these are the same sort of people who think you can't drive an S2000 in the rain, either.
Here's a thread with vids of a bunch of Ss playing in the snow and ice.

And, if you don't have all that much snow -- or live in an area where the snow is rapidly cleared from the roads -- you might do OK with some ALL SEASON performance tires. The OEMs are summer tires, which means they don't do well on snow, and really don't do that well on rain either, even though they grip VERY well on the dry. All season performance tires (rated W or higher) are available for the s2k, and the best ones cost you only a little grip in the dry. They also seem to have longer tread wear than OEM. As always when driving on snow, you have to "drive smart" and conservatively, and learn the chararistics of the RWD.

I've driven mine quite a few times in 5-6" of unplowed snow on the roads with WS-50 Blizzak snow tires and it's fine in the snow. Very controllable and it's actually quite fun to drive. I haven't gotten stuck yet. Spend the $950 on a wheel/tire combo from Tire Rack. It's worth every penny if you are going to be using the S as a daily driver in the snow.

bought my s2k about 2 months ago, been driving snow/slippery road all the time since then, this is my first RWD car, i have NO RWD experience, i've never driven RWD on snow before...
anyways....i picked up some used LM-22 with 10/32 on all 4 tires, and i've been driving on snow since...............last week we had more than a foot of snow, and i drove my s2k, it wasn't as bad as i thought, but i DID got stuck a couple of times in the parking lot.....my co-worker told me when he saw my car in the parking lot, the snow was all the way up to my headlights....LOL.......
other than that, driving on snow isn't really an issue for me now, got used to it after a while, just gotta be careful....and sometimes where there is not that many cars, have some FUN........hehehe

I drive my S in the snow with Michelin X-Ice tires. I've been in up to 3 inches of snow before the plow came and I have had zero problems. The takeoff is a little slow, but once you get going, the car is extremely predictable, easy to control, and quick to stop. Just take a little time to learn how the car will react, and you'll be passing more SUVs in ditches than you can count.
