i guess it all depends...ive been in way too many snow storms where ive had trouble controlling an AWD SUV and have gotten a maxima stuck in snow several times...couldnt imagine what it would be like with a car that sits so low to the ground...im sure its great fun to take out to vacant parking lots and having some fun but now on the road in the middle of winter where i grew up...

Unless you're talking about a couple of FEET of snow, you're still talking out your ass.

BTW, plenty of hills around here considering we're almost in the Rocky Mountains. Perhaps you should stick to topics you know something about.

spent 21 years of my life living in the third snowiest city in the US...never did you see s2000's driving around bcs people thought they were great winter cars...the ONLY compact sports cars you see are AWD cars bcs they are controllable in the snow...try starting your rwd s2000 on a steep hill in the middle of winter...see if you make it up it...cars rust from salt...you cannot tell me that they dont...
Normally, I would analyze this statement and pick it apart, but you know what? It just ain't worth my time. You just can't reason with ignorance.
Buh-bye!

Guys, thanks for coming to my defense, but just ignore this one. His whole 22 years of existence is just too much for us to contradict. Let him think what he wants. Just don't let it fool those who truly are seeking the truth.

i dont know what the personal attacks were about...all i did was offer my opinion...people dont post topics in here to only get one sided opinions...just because you and a couple of your post buddies feel comfortable driving an s200 in the snow does not mean that every one in here does or would...

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and for the moment, consider that your previous posts were not derived from you just being a smart-ass. Yes, you are entitled to your opinions, but when the information given in those opinions are not based upon real life experiences (with an S2000 that's winter driven), they only serve to mislead others. And no, living in a "snow" city and not seeing other S2000s driving around means nothing. I've driven my car in winter conditions for 6 winters and have only seen one other S2000 on the road, but I know for a fact there are many, many of them out there. Most of them are in our local community and also in the Toronto community where quite a few of them are being driven and have been for years. To my knowledge, noone has had any problems driving this car in the worst conditions imagineable and noone's car has deteriorated or broken down due to rust (a subject I've discussed in the past in detail and won't go into here).
You will find little in the way of dedicated support for your views as this car is now almost 6 years in the marketplace and a LOT of owners drive it all winter. Unless you have spent time in the snow belt with an S2000 that is properly equiped, sure, state your opinion as "perception" not as "fact".

And just because you can't drive doesn't mean nobody else can.

Really, it's fun in the snow and it doesn't hurt it. We don't get the same amount of snow as Buffalo, but we still get a lot at times. In 4 winters there have been 2 days that I couldn't drive it.

One more thing...the S2000 with snow tires is safer than an AWD SUV with all-seasons.
