Default S2000 in the snow??

I'm considering on buying an S2000 but my issue is that I am going to be moving up to buffallo for grad school where the killer snow storms are.. Please give me your opinions on just how wrong of an idea this is.. I would use the S as a daily driver.... I've been advised by many to just get the WRX and get over it.. Or perhaps I'll just use pubic transportation during the whole winter seasons.. Can i have your opinions on how the s2000 is in the snow?? Thanks a lot....

First off, you cannot put snow chains on the S02 tires..
Second, I'm not even sure you could put snow tires on an S, and if you did, still not a good idea.
Third, stick with the WRX. Much better idea.

Incorrect. Bridgestone makes MZ-01s and LM-22 Blizzak Winter Tires (I use the latter). There are also MANY other winter tire shoices that I'm sure will be posted (or do a search, this has been covered many times).

Second, Vince is right, if you will be living in Buffalo, stick with the WRX if it will be your only car.

Buffalo = WRX.

Sorry, but you'll have a better chance with 4WD there than a RWD roadster. Unless you get a beater for the bad days.

I drove my S2000 the first winter until I had the money to get a second car, and I found it very good in the snow. Get the Blizzak tires with more stable side walls, I tried cheaper tires at first and it was almost impossible to drive. And get the hardtop as well, heated rear window is a must...

But if at all possible get a second car.
