Embarrasingly enough.. I'll admit it. It was me. I was very new to the car coming from an M3 and underestimated the S2000's ability for lift-throttle oversteer. The real mistake was that I didn't get back on the gas hard enough... that's why there was no countersteering. It was too little, too late. Let me also say that the P7000s I was running on at the time were of no help.

It was a group drive.. everyone behind us thought that we did it purposely to film the cars coming around the curve.

Did you lift because you started to feel the car slide or were you just trying to slow down?

Exactly, smoothness is key, this car is a quick mover and responds abruptly to quick moves and abrupt weight changes. BE SMOOOOOTH.

Does that make any sense ?

Sounds to me like he went in too fast and let go of the gas abruptly...

"did I pop a tire?"

No you just need to learn how to drive before you hurt yourself or someone else.....rapidly jumping off the gas tends to unsettle the vehicle -- the s2000 has a particular dislike for such things.

WOW, you're man enough to admit that it was you. I'm glad that you weren't hurt and have learned from this experience. Viewing this video just shows how easily it is to lose control of the S2K, even with rear wheel driving experience.

Thanks jws626 for putting this up.

It's not an easy car to drive if you obviously don't have a clue what you're doing ...
