The more I look at my car ... the sexier it gets.

(All the mods don't hurt either ... )

What an absolutely ridiculous thing to say here, of all places.

Wavelet is looking for some attention, if you ask me, which you didn't, but I told you anyway.

I have to agree that I thought it was a great looking car when i ordered it (10/98), I thought it was a fantastic looking car when I bout it (10/99) and to this day I still go into the garage to look at the car and STILL think its pretty damn nice looking, even with its signs of roadwear.

I think Wavelet needs to trade his car in for a different color, I mean black hides all the lines from the sides. Having seen his car, I can understand why HIS car is ugly .

(i think just a few feathers have been ruffled bu this thread. )

By your own words, opinions on looks are pretty meaningless. If at one point a person can find an object (AudiTT) attractive, then at another moment decide they think that same object looks ugly, by definition, pretty much reduces the expression of an opinion on looks to be fickle at best. Since a comment such as this is the purest form of subjectivity, any response has the same validity as the originating comment, however ridiculous it may appear. To say, "that opinion sucks" is as subjectively valid as saying, "the car's profile is ugly".

I have to agree with your initial impression. When I first started looking at these cars back in Spring 2000, I wasn't impressed with the side view either. It just looked like a door stop or something, like a wedge. It wasn't until I saw one in person that I started to change my tune. Now that I own one, I think it is the hottest, sexiest little vixen on the planet. I guess they tend to grow on you. Also, look into body kits... OEM or otherwise. They do wonders for the lines.

Wavelet, now that you mention it, a good WW2 Panzer IV model H tank with side skirts *does* look much nicer than our S2000 =) That turret, with the long barrelled gun looks so sexy, and the 16 road wheels, very nice ... though 16 times $130 S02s could get expensive! Top down view looks too busy, however, with all that stand-off armor ...

And look at those stats, 28-30mph top speed, 0-15mph in about 30 seconds, pretty nice =) Then there's the engine, more hp, and talk about low end torque!

Of course, if someone offered to trade a fully restored and running Panzer IV (any type) for my S2000 I'd take it in a heartbeat. I'm a big WW2 military hardware fanatic (even helped write several WW2 sims on the subject), thus the choice would be obvious =)

I first saw the S2000 at the San Diego car show a last year and it was love at first sight. Then I got to drive one It was all over. Now every spare cent I have (spare meaning not beer or rent money) goes towards getting an S2000.

And yeah, my feathers were ruffled at first.

On other forums, this is not called "feather ruffling," it's called trolling. On one forum I read, If you do this often enough, the mods will change your avatar to this permanently:

In this case, wavelet has not been as offensive as he could have been, so such extreme measures are not warranted. Also, most trolls post their inflammatory message, and then run away. Wavelet is staying to argue it out. I like that....

it still doesn't change the fact that the RX7 is one of the most beautiful pieces of art. I prefer the looks of the RX7 over the S2k but i wouldn't say the s2k sucks. and i hope our engine is more reliable in the long run.
