Thanks!

Always been mildly curious about the lettering on the lower edge of the display which doesn't appear (to my knowledge) on North American cars. 2008+ North American cars have a different display of the temperature and fuel gauges more like the early cars where they appeared as extension to the tach.

^Yes, neither JDM nor NA cars had any lettering there. Like the Euro cars, the JDM dash had a blank button and no ability to switch units.

Speaking of parts commonality (or the lack of it), it's interesting that the half-moon design of the '08-'09 NA dash wasn't used in either the JDM or UK/Euro markets; AND there were two versions of the NA dash, one for the CR and one for base cars. So the 699 CR dash parts were the only ones ever made.

This is the correct way of fixing this. Alternatively, people fit a small converter to the gearbox sensor to change the impuls from kmh to mph. Once fitted the dash reads in mph but cannot be switched to kmh

As it turns out, I found a dash on UK ebay with a faulty LCD going for peanuts. So I took the PCB from that one and reassembled it with the working parts of the abu Dhabi dash. Quite lucky I think.

That was a lucky break. I’m needing to get a JDM converted to miles and kms.

Not sure about that. My base 2009 has the dash panel that includes some CR features although inoperative. There is a Peak Power indicator that is specified for the CR. In addition, there is another light, a circle with 9 led "dots" in it that is for something I am unable to discern. Perhaps it is the uninstalled alarm system. In the picture it looks like there are triangles in the circle, between the high beam and milage indicators. There ARE two versions of the NA dash but it is concerned with a Canadian version and US version. The US version is for both CR and Base, I believe from the manual I have.

I stand by my statement...if only cosmetically.

US/CAN Base '08-'09:

CR '08-'09:
