Just received a recall notice for 2000 model year S2K for replacement for taillight side markers. Reason for the recall is the fading of the color over time. Glad to see Honda taking care of this one at no charge.

 

does this mean honda will replace it? i just picked up a MY00 last weekend...

 

you may qualify, only selected VIN # are qualified last I heard. Check in with your local Honda dealer.

yeah, i just got mine in yesterday too. but are they just replacing the side tail markers or are they gonna put in new tail lights?

 

Also got mine yesterday and was wondering if they will give us the new taillights. Mine are not fadded but I dont like the newer (02+) tailights with the crome ring on them.

Yes, they replace the whole light. Just service an appointment with your local dealership. Mine was finished in about 2 hours.

 

so do u get to keep ur old taillights then? cuz my friend wanted mine. i would assume so, right?

 

also, do they put in the MY00 tails in again or something newer?
