Default S2000 Type-R : Hate adding to the rumors, but...

http://www.geocities.com/busybeetoys/scoop/edn-36.htm

Probably been posted before. Maybe not. Any truth? Who knows. Certainly could be authentic, I mean the body styling on that car is certainly in Honda fashion, like the white wheels.
(Yeah yeah I know, people buy white Volk Racing rims all the time. )

Just thought I'd stick that up here for some fun. I'm personally also *VERY* interested in the 2004 Subaru Legacy turbo. I'm one of those folks who's been drooling over the WRX STi rumors, but...... I'd rather take the Legacy. Better-looking, a bit bigger/more practical.....

Now if I could have that AND an S2000 Type-R.... hmmmm.....

I checked out the Legacy B4 (twin turbo) on the weekend. Great looking sedan. Unfortunately I'm only in the market for a Liberty RX, but heh, I've got the S for fun.

A point on the Type R article. The photo is an S2000 with hard top and the BBS 6 spokes available as an option in Japan. Notice the side badge and number plate both say 2000. Honda's S cars ahve always used the displacement after the S (S360, S500, S600, S800, S2000). So a 2.5L S would probably be an S2500. What that means is that this article is just a bunch of words.

Well that's why I said that it may or may not be true. The picture I noticed was probably phony, but at the same time, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the S2000 came out in a Type-R form. I'm just kind of prodding people for some thoughts on the matter. Though I'm sure that most people here would love to see one arrive!! Glad you got to check out the B4 Legacy though... very cool machine. See we don't get any good stuff here on the big island.

As for why you can't see it, lvs2k, maybe it's your browser?

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm 99% certain it's been posted before (a few times) because I remember the "busybeetoys" in the URL. It was generally debunked.

Actually, I found one of the threads:

These words in the story are what make me suspicious:

An automatic transmission is also in the works as Honda gets desperate to expand the customer base to better match its European rivals.

When has Honda ever been desperate? that's not an adjective that would describe a company that sits on top of most of its markets.
