what's 1500 buck when spending so much on a car?
i know if i was spending 33k, i'd spend another 3k if i had to, if that would guarantee me the best out of the two or sometimes three or four models to chose from.
THEY ASLO GET A NAVIGATION SYSTEM DON'T THEY?

As for Type V being "the best" model, there's quite a bit of debate on the issue. Because of the highly nonlinear, speed-dependent steering, many experienced sports/race drivers have quite a bit of difficulty controlling the car at the track (hence the reputation of greater snap oversteer). Also, the system adds weight but there's no extra power. Combined, most testers have found that, back-to-back on the same handling course, the standard car is quicker than the VGS. In fact, the harshest critics have called VGS another "failed experiment" by Honda (a la the Prelude's 4-wheel steering): that is, an idea with little market appeal and debatable performance merits.
Still, ya gotta love the midnight pearl paint job!

James, for that second hand price you're paying do make sure they car is as good as new. Otherwise anything around the Y2.5 - 2.8 million mark should be reasonable, your price is quite high no doubt. Second hand cars in Japan loose at least 40% of their resale value almost instantly so do make sure what you're getting is worth what you're gonna pay at the end of the day.
On another note, the JDM Type V comes in all sorts of colors and with all sorts of options from Honda Japan. The car weighs slightly heavier but not significant to be a notable issue. A hardtop weighs probably just as much as a VGS so I suppose it doesn't really concern any weight problems. While the handling a normal and VGS is significantly different, you either like it or you don't. That's how Japanese people see it.
