If you guys have deer problems, you can get this whistle that makes this reallky high pitched sound that only they can hear. It attaches to the side mirrors or wherever wind can get into the whistle.

I was traveling down a deserted country road one time. Just behind a slight hill in the road there was a huge turkey buzzard feeding on some road kill. It took off just as I crested the hill. I did a reflex jerk to the left to keep it from smashing into my windshield. Well, I don't have to tell anyone here how scary a jerk swerve in any direction in an S doing 95 is. Life passed before my eyes! luckily, I did not lose control. I drove the speed limit the rest of that day.

Thanks for the concern!!! geeze nobody has a deer run in here.
I clipped the back legs out of a deer not too long ago....luckily I was low enough and hit it off center....spider webbed the paint on my front end in the corner and that was it.

I'm glad to hear that you are ok. It seems like a lot of people have had accidents from trying to avoid a deer, when does hunting season start?

Glad to hear you're alright. You're extremely lucky that you didn't destroy your car. 99% of the time you're better off to hit the deer than to swerve to avoid it.

I guess you picked that 1% of the time where avoiding the deer ended up being the better idea.

yes, and luckly i was a mile away from my parents home. My dad got me out of it quick. There were two cars about a 1/4 mile behind me and told the cop immedatly what occured and he did not even ask me for a school ID in this case, he actually helped by putting his light on the pulling event.

Though i still have this conscern were if i were in the same situation.... how could of i aviod the deer and not spun out. I know i did something wrong, but i just can't say, i know this car goes were you want it, but it went a lil too out of control.

if you swirve to the other lane violently at 45ish to aviod something that was i would say 5 feet infront of you and you feel control being loss... what do you do? could of i applied the E-brake? kept it in its same direction and try to regain control or completely braked?

Glad you are ok...Everyone worried about deer should go a bit further up north...in many parts of Canada, they don't worry about the deer...you'll live if you hit em...it is the moose that they really worry about! (If you think I'm joking, maybe a few people from Quebec can post/chime in...the highways have Moose warning signs!)

You would steer yourself out and use the throttle... dont apply brakes in a RWD car in that situation as you'll just make it worse

I swear if I ever hit a deer with my car I'd be eating the remains of the SOB.
