Less sound deadening.
AC and radio delete for the lightest quoted numbers.

With the hardtop, a/c and radio it's about 10 lbs lighter.
Without the a/c and radio it's about 50 lbs lighter.

(^ all according to wikipedia's numbers. also depends on what year s2000 you're comparing it to).

Don't forget though, you're not just removing stuff. You're also adding a wing, lip, tonneau cover and a beefier front sway bar. I think I weighed the tonneau cover at 12 lbs. Of course al lof these (except maybe the tonneau) add performance to make up for the weight.

I don't know that the cloth seats are significantly lighter than the leather ones, though.

Additional chassis bracing was also added so weight increases from steering rack stiffeners, and the rear brace, exhaust is marginally lighter since it doesn't have that extra loop. Are you certain there is a reduction in sound dampening materials? I don't recall that ever being stated anywhere.

CR shift knob is lighter by a few grams haha!
My car came with the stock leather knob and when I replaced it with the CR knob I could tell a difference

Either way, the sound deadening materials in the s2000 don't weigh that much. The transmission tunnel stuff weighed in at a whopping 5 pounds when I took it all off.
