Default s2000 what do you think

Hey guys, so today when I left work and was in the parking-lot a person came to me and gave me an offer to buy my car, out of no where. He offered me $20,000 and I turned him down. I was amazed that someone just came out of the blue and did that. Way before this day I was thinking of selling my car because of finances and I want to finish school. But the bad thing is that I love my car sooo much. What do you think?

If you are the original owner and know how you have treated your car, I would try and hang on to it at all cost - work a second job, apply for a scholarship and then study hard enough to get a second or 3rd scholarship, sell your MiL, whatever (as long as its legal). Each study break go and look at your car and then return to the books and know why it is that you are doing this. If you are not the first owner then sell it and pursue your education - when you are finished I am sure that you will be able to find one that has been lovingly cared for in the interim and you'll be back in the driver's seat diploma/degree in hand. Good luck.

Your mileage, model year, and condition of the car would be helpful.

If you're driving a 2003 w/ anything < 25,000 miles, I'd take the $20,000 and run. You can buy the same car for $13,000 this winter and pocket the rest.

^ 20k sounds like a standard price considering the miles and year...

not exactly an immediate hand over the title offer for your year/mileage, my ap1 with sub 100k is low miles for being nine years old and $20k would be a same day transaction but your's is borderline used value...

The offer is fair and within estimate. You certainly were not offered a ransom. Besides think of it this way - if you sold the S2000 for $20K, what other car out there (besides another S2000) will be a good enough replacement
