S2000 or WRX?
I was wondering what you guys would rather have?? I can get my hands on a 2002 white wrx or a 2001 red s2000. I also posted on a WRX website to compare feedback. Let me know your input. Thanks.
I recently sold my SVT Focus to get my 03 S2000 (I realize the WRX has a much more potent engine, but otherwise they have many similarities).
It's interesting because the 2 car's pure performance numbers are fairly similar for 0-60 and 1/4 mile, but the two driving experiences are very different. The WRX has more torque and it's power is easier to access. To drive the S2000 fast you have to keep it above 6000rpm. C&D descibes it well by saying the S2000 represents "a level of sports-car purity that was just a little too pure (read

The S2000 is a no-compromise car. If you can forego four seats, some hauling ability, and awd, then you can get an S. The S is a convertible that will get you looks, the WRX is more of a wallflower unless you get the wing, and then it looks boy-racerish. They are both great, but in the end, the S is the car I want to drive, four passangers and snow be damned!
people here will say buy an "S" people on the WRX board will advise to buy that.... no sh*t huh?
2 different cars... you'll here a lot about either. The "S" is pure sports car and it's a convertible... nuff said.
Second car or daily driver?

i'm going through the same thing, wrx or s2k? currently i have a 90 240sx that has just been nothing but trouble lately and i need a car that i don't have to worry about, i don't wanna spend $10k on my 240 i'd rather get something newer, the wrx is very tempting but it's AWD and i really don't want AWD and since i've got a scion too a 2 seater is fine, so i'm probably gonan get an s2000 after the first of the year
More details/information required in order to formulate a conclusion.
the are both excellent automobiles
.
WRX: Turbo, AWD, 4 Door, 4 seats, so much potential, etcetera
S2k: Drop top, 9 k Redline, 2 seats, vibrant HIDs, crisp handling & corners like it's on a rail, nicely engineered/designed cockpit, etcetera

I own both. WRX is my daily driver, S2000 is my track/autoX weekend car. You are comparing apples to oranges. Both are great cars. S2000 has incredible brakes, handling and feel, the WRX is a nice, very capable car. I would say that if you can't really decide you should get the WRX because it is an easy car to own. The S2000 requires a bit more dedication when used as a daily driver. I really like my WRX, I love the S2000 but don't wont to drive it everyday in bad weather, with little cargo space, on long road trips etc.
i was in the same predicament exactly 9 months ago. i went with the s2000, obviously, because it was more rare around my parts, and sportier. however, if youre looking for power, and you dont wanna sc or tc your s2000, get the WRX. im not in the market for aftermarket FI and now im (afraid to say) "stuck" at this performance level. needless to say, once i reach 45k miles, i will be trading in the S2000 for something turbocharged. good luck. however, i do love my s2000, and i get so many compliments that a wrx owner probably wouldnt get. your choice.
