S2000's live on
Gotta take my original comment back. At work today I looked outside at my car and theres a group of tourists like 4 or 5 teenagers just drooling allll over the car. I swear they mustve taken 20 photos of it, some guy even kneeled in front of it and gave a thumbs up. Made me feel awesome considering how dirty my car is right now

i'd get really antsy if i see a group of people beginning to congregate around my car, regardless of their intentions.
Personally I think it's also because a lot of people don't know about S2000. My S has an S badge which confuses even more. Last time when I went to shoot out with friends, my car got SO MUCH attention that it was just unbelievable. There was a beautifully modded clean white sti which never got any attention. There were a few old guys who walked by my car staring at it. One even walked around my car looking from every angle carefully. Later when we lined up the car to take some pictures, some blonde chick asked if she could get a picture taken sitting in my car. I guess it's also due to the bright red color.
I've had people follow my car into a parking lot just to gawk at it. Honda has a way of hiding excellent cars that then get lots of attention on the street. It's extreme with my S, but I also get stares at my RL--people simply don't know what it is (thanks for the great RL marketing, Acura/Honda!
).
).
Over the weekend, my wife and I were in Pittsburgh for her family reunion, and she noticed a lot more people staring at the car than in Columbus. One old lady said "I like your fancy car!" while I was getting gas. I also had to let a couple of my wifes neices sit in the car to get their pictures taken.
