S200's with racing stripes?
I thought that he was to but maybe not. I am going down to modern image tonight, they seem to be the people to talk to about this stuff. They make some really neat kits, not my style but neat never the less. There very nice flame kits run about 195 bucks for the whole car, they have some really neat tribal grafics that I like am it reminds me of one of my friends tatto's. Look them up on the net. www.modernimage.com i think. Will post pictures. I was aloso thinking of just geating race color markers like on the old 550 spyders the car seems set up just for that. Don't have the time to explain the history someone else take that one on.

Racing stripes are nice for muscle cars, like the cobra or even a Mustang if done tastefully. I just don't see this car as a contender for stripes. But I'm sure someone will do it, along with BMW cheese graters on the fenders.
I've often thought that my Black S, with it's aluminum Enkie's might look sweet with the same wide stripes, tapering towards the nose scheme you've described (only I would go silver). And I agree with Dr. Schmidt that roadsters & stripes go together (kinda like peanut butter & jelly).
If you like your peanut butter sandwich plain, thats cool, but post pics with the jelly. "Just wanna taste".
A local shop will do it for me in vinyl @ $150. If I don't like/get tired of it, I can peel 'em off.

Try doing pinstripes on your AUTOart model before you put them on the real thing. (Red on white could look good if the red matches the interior red.) BTW, the secret to doing stripes is getting the right width (of strip) and distance between them. If you get it wrong, it can look pretty awful.
Alright no s200 jokes. I was typing very fast at the time. Anyway visited modern image very nice shop. They had a very nice IS300 that had just recieved the whole show car treatment, looked very nice, the vinal they use is very very thin and strong but expensive. They also have carbon strips a little gaudy for my taste but apparantly it can be applied to anything. So if you have a piece in the engine bay you want done or valve covers possibly it would look nice. The cost should be around 300 dollers or so so if I don't like it they can remove them for you. Thats a big plus for me.
I decided on red to match the interior of the car, and apparently one of the guys at the shop who I did not meet is a strip guy (if there is such a thing) he knows how to size the strips very well and I took a look at a some of his work it looks incredable. Will post pictures when I get it done.
