Default S2K or 2S2K?

So, if you take just a quick glance at my signature, you'll find I've lived a blessed life of having owned (and owning) multiple cars. I've worked as a car salesman, and helped many friends buy, browse, sell and trade all manner of cars. With all that having been said: I will get back from a deployment, roughly 1 year from now. And I keep thinking: it sure would be nice to buy another new (or newer) car (I love my 1973 Truck, but it sucks as a DD, and my wife gets to drive the S2K as the DD). I've run the gamut of FF, FR, and AWD (never an MR). And you know what I keep thinking? I should buy another S2K.

So, for those of you who are also blessed enough to be driving multiples cars and 2 of them happen to be S2Ks....what do you think? Are you bummed with having two nearly identical pieces of metal sitting in your driveway? Is it like always playing in Co-op mode with your friends/family? Is this absurd thinking? Please, I'm open to everyone's thoughts/opens on the matter. How would YOU feel owning 2S2K?

Why don't you just buy your wife a car she wants, and take your s2k back?

i also wonder about people that have identical cars in their driveways... i guess if you all really want the car that bad its fine. What bothers me are my friends that have multiple integras/hatchbacks and "build" them its like... why not just sell all of them and buy a nice car already haha

If you want and s2000 and the wife wants the s2000 then buy another s2000? I dont get the point of this thread, are you just trying to show off or what?

I think it would be redundant and you would wish for more versatility!

I own multiple vehicles but each one is much different and for much different purposes and I LOVE the versatility! I have a vehicle for every purpose (except hauling a boat). I can take the S2000 to the mountains or a track, take a weekend fishing trip offroad into the back-country with my 4x4 truck, haul 4 passengers in my 4-door beater car or go on a touring trip on the motorycle.

Having 2 of the same vehicle just means you prefer one of them and you never drive the other.

What a hater. My brother lives close by and we often drive each other's cars and we both had an evo and a s2k at the same time and even though we could drive each others cars at anytime. If your wife loves the s2k, get another because that way you can drive it at anytime. me personally I would get an awd car like evo/wrx and s2k and switch back and forth especially on bad days out it sucks driving the s2k.

Steve

I could see owning 2 s2ks for a few different reasons...

1. One is a track car while the other is a daily.

2. One is built as a boosted monster(all speed) while the other is built as an N/A monster(All handling).

3. One is an ap1 while the other is an ap2.

4. One is a parts car while the other is a driver.

5. One is your car and the other is your wife's car.

No you are not carzy. If you are considering the idea of two S2000 is because you could live without any more versatility than the car offers. That's ok every situation is different for each owner. My S2000 is a weekend/auto x car and I have consider to buy eventually a CR. Just beacuse I liket it.

If it won't cause you any problem and you can afford it. Go ahead. You want it

Do what you feel best for the long haul. Not sure how that makes you blessed. It isnt like you have 4 ferraris. I drive a Yukon Denali and a S2000 and I dont see my self as blessed. I have much more than that too but I work a decent career and spend money smartly. Good luck

Get an M Coupe; pretty fast overall with a slightly more luxurious interior and is better for longer drives.
