Default S2k appreciation

Anyone else notice the book value on s2000's have jumped almost 2k in a year?

I bought my car nov. of last year with 15k miles and paid book for it. Now even at 22k miles the book is about 2k more than I paid. Makes me want to not drive it as much and see what happens in another year. I had planned on selling it soon but may change my mind if this trend keeps up.

Thoughts?

November vs. July. Big difference for a convertible.

You can see this pattern with any sports car but especially with a convertible.

I'm shopping my 07 around and I stopped at a local dealers to see if they were interested in the car. They offered as much as I paid for it 14 months ago and said that if I kept the car stock and low miles I could probably get their offer for many months to come. He said that they are very rare going through the auctions and that they are bringing much more then any internet pricing guides are saying they are worth,

I definitely see more interesting pricing lately.

My car is about to hit 4 years and I'm seeing used 07's now asking for only 2-3k less than mine rolled off the showroom floor for.

Mines an 03 I bought new all stock and original I even have the extra key still in the factory sleeve I think all original ap1's will become rarer and rarer as the years go on it will be interesting to see what they will be worth but I don't want to part with mine any time soon.

I'm so lucky to have gotten the deal I did a year ago. The guy HAD to sell his car ASAP. I wouldn't be able to touch a comparable one with the prices I'm seeing these days.

Used cars in general have gone up significantly in value over the last year. I believe I remember reading it was over a thousand dollars more to purchase an average used car that a year ago. In fact some experts are sayings its a bubble ready to burst and now is the time to sell. Either way I am keeping my CR and happy to see its not just holdings its value, but unable to be purchased today for the price I paid
