Hey all,
I'm looking at picking up a used s2k for use as a daily driver and have a couple concerns. Where I live in Virginia it snows sometimes in the winter.
Would the s2k be un-usable? or just as bad as my jetta with bald tires?
I also need to make a trip up to CT for xmas, would that be feasible?

and also.
What is everyones favorite color on the s2k?
I'm tending toward the white or the black.
I'd love to find one with a red interior.

White and Red is the nicest color combination IMO

 

i like the old 00/01 white/red combo, full red is too much red for me.

 

red w/black interior. i have yet to see any car that this doesnt look good on.

The 00/01 GPW/Red/Black or the Berlina/Red/Black are my favorites.

After seeing the all-red in person I just couldn't handle it on a long term basis.

 

Love the white/red but then again I am prejudiced. As far as stability on snow I would suggest that you go to one of the Regional Groups from the upper mid-west. They can give you the best information on handling and snow tires.

 

I would reccomend snow tires if you are out IN the snow. Once the snow is cleared you should be fine. The S is VERY twitchy when it starts to loose traction.

I am partial to Silverstone with Red/Black combo interior, but I may have a bias.

 

What years were white/red and black/red available?
I'd prefer a glass back window.. hmm...
