[B]that is pretty harsh in Vancouver these days. The towing companies must be making a killing. It is still my favourite place in Canada though, I'll just drive the S stock if I was there

Yeah -- that happened on Knight St. bridge -- I think the cops caught the driver after all!

The interesting (and idiotic IMO) part of all this is the causality that cops here are drawing between modified cars and street racing.

man
it must be tough to live in vancouver now

you can't put anything on your car

the people who don't race got kicked but the racers keep doing what they did

and there are so many rich parents who buys expensive cars for their 16~17 yr old ...

Listen, you want to drive fast, take it somewhere safe. Have some fun on the roads, if you see a nice car, but not 128km!!!!

I love this engine.

I don't think the car's occupants were in any condition to go check under the hood. In a crash like this, one of the priorities of the responding fire rescue unit is to cut or disconnect the battery so that there are no possibilities of energized circuits like air bags, fuel pumps, etc. You don't want an airbag to go off while removing a patient or having the fuel pressure at max if there is a leak in the system or a cut or pinched wire causing a spark.

The picture only shows one rim gone. The other one is still on the car and the opposite side we can't see.

I agree if you are going to race don't go 128 khm, that's about 15 mph over the speed limit. Honda S2000's should never be driven over 65 mph unless you are on salt flats. I'm not saying go drag race on public streets, but if you can't keep control of your car going 70 mph go buy a Ford Fiesta.

I couldn't agree more with those who've posted questioning/commenting on the 128 KMH ?
