I am, which will actually make the price difference $17 - $32K, if Porsche prices take their annual 3% or so jump; meanwhile I haven't heard if there's going to be a MSRP increase for the 2003 S2000 yet...

The answer is: It's $15-$30K more the name plate. For some people, that's cheap.

the S is my only daily driver!! i use it to only carry my girlfriend around so don't have to worry about "passengerS" problem. i think i could probably fit 4 or more girls in there - might be a little hard to clutch though

Well, on luggage space, I'll take the S2000 anytime, I havn't seen the the luggage spaces in the boxster, but have had a look around the boxster S and if they're similar, its practically useless. The comparment in the Porsches are odd sizes.

What really made up my mind about the S2000 was that my golf bag could fit into it.

Not to turn this into a Boxster vs. S2000 thread, but the trunks on the Boxster are actually reasonably spacious.

A normal sized suitcase fits nicely in the front trunk in addition to a carry on, and a golf bag does fit in the rear trunk but I think you have to remove a club or two if I remember correctly.

According to the specs, the storage area in the Boxster is about double that in the S2000, though neither obviously can carry luggage for two for much more than a weekend trip...

Never had to remove any of my clubs to get them into my S2K. Even had two sets in the trunk once.
