Default The S2k Family

Wow, this car never ceases to amaze me. I was out driving around today scouting some good roads for a group drive when I pull into a gas station in a backwoods, tiny tiny little town. I'm getting out of the car to take off the tonneau cover (my right ear is still frozen ) when I hear someone say "Hey, you got a lot of guts bringing that up here" I turn around thinking what's this guy talking about. Well he is in Utah on vacation for the olympics and he has an S2000! At first I thought he lived in Utah and the car was here but he is from Florida (Tampa) and was just up here for a little while. It's amazing, it's like your automatically part of a family with this car. If we were to cross paths on the street we wouldn't even take a second glance at each otherbut with the S2k it's like you've already bonded. We got to talking about cars, his is a '00 Silverstone/Black and is #194 I believe. I revved the engine for him and he loved the AEM Intake. We talked for a bit more, I told him about S2KI and he said he was a member but that he hasn't been online for quite some time. Anyways, I just thought it was awesome to find another S2k owner in a place like that. I love this car

It makes you think that this is really a small world.

Funny, I was just talking with Sondra about how everyone I've met that has an S2K is so easy to talk to and get along with. Guess the type of car just attracts a certain type of person.

My theory is a little different. I think the majority of people out there are cool people - the S2000 offers a connection that immediately brings it to the surface. Most strangers are standoffish and suspicious unless they have a reason to be otherwise. Irregardless, the S2000 family is a good one.

I definately would agree. There are only a few of these but when I see one I always Flash the lights, wave, or use the horn to say, "Hi, nice car!"
