Has anybody in S. California run into this Miata?

can't say I've ran into this one in particular, but there are other Monster Miatas out there.

Monster Miata's: http://www.monstermotorsports.com/

Great stuff, but its just FMS parts - pick up any MM&FF magazine and you can get all the (or most) aftermarket parts for the long block - everything lightweight. No frame clipping, fits in like a champ, just suspension upgrades to hold that motor up.

Yeah, one of the first things that a Miata enthusiast said to me after looking under the hood of the S2K was "there's plenty of room in there for a small block V8". I thought "WTF???"

I wonder what a heavy engine would do to handling and balance, either in the Miata or S2K. Probably not anything good.

It is amazing how light and compact a small block Ford V8 can be, but it is still heavier than the four so handling is affected. I would like to see a comparison of long block weights.

I know someone who is building a Miata with a turbo four from a SVO Mustang.. projected to be more than 350HP with the same weight of the Mazda motor.

BTW, I

I remember a friend in High School stuck a 302 in his Pinto. REAL fast straight. Just don't turn it or get hit from behind

I would rather have honda add 2 cylinders to the front of our block, and then move the battery to the trunk... can you say 360hp 3L!
