Default S2K Minor Annoyances

I've had my S2k for about 1.5 months and while I love it, I've found a few annoying things that I'd like to hear how others' handle. Your thoughts on the following:

1. I like my side view mirrors set very wide/far out to eliminate blind spots. I've found the driver's side mirror doesn't go far out enough. Even if I pull it in on the motor use my hand to set it wide then try to re-set it wide with the motor it still hits the end of the adjustment range--but not far enough out. Anyone found a fix for this?

2. Road noise at freeway speeds w/the top up is pretty bad. Tough to talk on the phone. I was thinking some of the spray-on noise deadener in the wheel wells might help.

3. Seems the top requires dead stop and the handbrake up. I'd like to be able to operate the top while I'm moving very slowly. Anyone know how to modify for this?

4. I'd like to take off all badges, but the front and rear "H" badges apparently connect to holes in the hood/trunk respectively. Anyone take these off? What did you use to cover the holes?

Thanks.

Answer. You can buy the wide angle mirrors to place in the corner of your existing mirror

Answer. Dead mating or insolating your interior should help.

Answer. This has been done but not recommended

Answer.

If you're suffering from excessive wind noise, you might want to check your seals and latches.

I've done #3, and wouldn't be able to live without it.

I took delivery of my car with all the emblems already shaved off the car. i am assuming they filled the holes with a bit of bondo and repainted.

Here is where they fizzucked up. On the front bumper they simply repainted the hood.... no sanding down the bumpe,r no primer, no nothing. Now a small rock started a flake fest and I now have to take the whole bumper down to primer and repaint to ensure a proper job of it this time.

Moral: do not cut corners on cost and labor when repainting the car.

Car looks cool with no outside markings though. You would be surprised how often I get asked "what kind of car is that?"

Some of the things that bother me are...

1. Can't open the trunk when the car is running.

2. with the radio door open the corner of the cover stabs me in the knee.

3. Only one intermittent wiper setting.

I fixed number #1, so you can do this while keys are still in inginition and car is on.

I have looked into fixing it but just haven't gotten around to it yet. I still think it is really annoying.
