Default s2k NY?

Hey I normally live in L.A. but have moved to NY for about a year. I was contemplating shipping my s2k out here, but was concerned about the weather. Anyone have any experience driving one of these in NY in the winter. I live in Brooklyn btw. I know it's not a great snow car, but roads get plowed fairly quickly here. Just looking to see if anyone can give me some advice. As of now I have Yokohama AO48's on front, and dunlop z1's in back (track tires) and I'm assuming these are not too great for freezing temps and occasional snow driving. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

you do NOT want track tires in the snow. That's just asking for an accident. I've driven in the snow on summer tires and just giving any sort of push to the gas made the rear kick out.

Get some nice snow tires and the S is a pretty amazing snow car considering it's RWD. With the proper rubber you wont have any problems. Just make sure to drive to the conditions, be mindful of ice and longer stopping distances, etc.

Blizzaks are the way to go, I live in Yonkers which is full of steep hills and I was making it up roads that front wheel drive cars couldn't. I would be more concerned with parking my S on the street snow or no snow. If you get plowed in what a B*tch to get it out, it would be covered in all types of crap.

The rears may kick out a little if you give too much gas at first but it comes back into line. Just leave extra room for braking.

i have fresh hankook ventus v12 evos right now and they are supposed to be high perf. summer tires. i mean i haven't done anything crazy but they ride like all seasons in the winter time. if you do plan to drive in snow though i mean i'm sure you can make it (will be PITA sometimes) but would be just better to have a dedicated set of winter tires/wheels. if you're only gona drive in dry weather summers are ok i think.

This is my first winter with the s2k (live in northern NJ but travel frequently to Queens and the city), I drove around in it a couple of days after the last week's big snow and it wasn't too bad as long as you take it easy. I'm running on BF Goodrich All Season, all around.

I live upstate and drove the car a lot last year in snow and ice. Buy snow tires. I wouldn't even attempt driving an s2k on Direzzas in these temps.
