S2K prices in the summer?
Integs these days are either full of rice, or all messed up. I wouldn't drive a pristine one anyway they're ugly as ****.
I personally agree with bmms8's reply the most not just because its the only one that gives me hope.. It makes sense logically. Many people are going to want to ditch their cars in the summer thinking that its the time where they're worth the most, but with many people trying to sell at the same time the price is just going to lower. The only reason prices are high in the summer is because people keep them to drive but due to this economy, there will be less demand and more supply.

Just plan to have a $1000.00 - $2000.00 cushion readily available for the car. I think that'd be safe to say. Some might say thats low...plus if you find yourself paying others to PROPERLY maintain the car...will cost $$$
Buy in the dead of winter...saw some good deals this year right after I bought mine AND sank around 2k in unsuspected maintenance....long story..
Trust the guys on here, they've owned and lived the S2K life and what it offers and takes from you, haha. They're not shitting on your parade..

I think your logic is a little skewed. The people waiting to sell during the summer are able to afford keeping the car until it sells at a price they are happy with. The people in winter will tend to be more desperate to sell.
Either way. You are determined to get one and I am sure you will find one in your price range! Good luck and enjoy the car when you get it!
Good topic.
I too plan to purchase an s2k and want to get the best deal before summer. I must have an ap2 berlina for around 18-22k sticker price from either carmax or honda.
I need payments under $300 and I plan to put down $8,500 cash to make it possible.
23 year old male with hardly any bills and a paid off bb6 5th gen lude ready to serve as dd/project car while the S sits in the garage.
what do you guys think?

and when is the right time for a poor person to buy an s2k?
There were a couple beat up S2K's on CL for under 10 while I was looking back in Nov/Dec. You wont see those in the summer.
Alright, here's a new angle...The S2000 may be the worst car to have in college. While it looks great and is fun, you can't fit all the stuff you need in it. I drove a CRX Si for one year in college and it was equally not pratical. 3 trips to get my stuff home and the end of each semester. While it was a 'cool' car, I sold it for a more practical Accord.
So I don't care about your financial situation so much, but think about the practicality of the car when you do finally get to school.
and to answer your original question, I don't believe there is a considerable amount of price difference between winter and summer. Maybe $500 to $1000 max. Get the car you want when the time is right. It may be worth an extra $1000 to buy the 'perfect' s2000 in the summer versus saving on a questionable one in the winter.
Either way....good luck with your decison.

I had an old prelude when I was in highschool, most people would concider this an appropriate highschooler car but when you concider the constant repairs, aftermarket parts and all the other costs it wouldnt have cost much more than that it would cost a kid now to go buy an older, high mileage S2000 that needs a bit of attention. I know a lot of people on here are driving cars worth 5 times more, but you can find them for 6-8K with needing repairs if you are vigilent.
quick question. im sort of in the same boat as the OP, but luckily i have a steady job.
from what i understand, its recommended that you have a 1-2k cushion before buying an s2k?
also, is a 2002 57k mile s2k worth 13k?
its in decent condition w/ a small rip on the driver seat and soft top
