Default S2K Problem

Hey Guys,

I have a 2005 SK2, with about 80,000KM on it, which is about 50,000 miles. What happens is when I floor the gas pedal the car revs but does not accelerate right away. I this a clutch problem?

I'm not sure why its doing this, at what mileage does the clutch need to replaced.

thanks.

Sounds like the clutch.
Clutch life depends on how the car was driven: harsher = shorter life.

Is that a quote from a dealer, you might be able to fine a competent mechanic who can do it for cheaper, Parts should be $500us and labor about another $500US or roughly $1050 canadian. Check you regional board and ask if there is a trusted mechanic local to you.

I think $1800 is a bunch of bologna. As 2slow mentioned, you should be able to get it done for around $1000.

My experience in Canada is that EVERYTHING costs more. Parts are 30% higher then ours, cars are 30-40% and labor is expensive.

He gets an ass rapping just living there. $1800 MIGHT be reasonable.
