Killswitch is good, You just have to hide it in a crazy spot...

If you were super paranoid, I'd get the killswitch to stop the average thief and lojack for the smart thief.. Problem is, by the time they find it, they will most likely have parted it out..

Unfortunately, you might as well just take the chance and just have full coverage on it..

I however don't even lock my doors.. I leave the top down and keys inside, it's nice to live in a good neighborhood.

Fill the cabin with venonous vipers. No one will bother your car.

Cause I don't need to, Have a lot less chance to scratch the surrounding area when starting also.

A little paranoia is healthy. Consider getting an alarm system.

I have a Hornet alarm that has motion sensors, a battery backup (so a thief can't turn it off or disconnect it to stop it from screaming) and a remote pager. I installed it myself, and it wasn't that expensive. It is activated with the stock key fob by just locking the car.

Here's an idea similar to Lojack, but cheaper: buy a prepaid cell phone that has an auto-answer feature. Preferably, get a phone that doesn't cost you anything if you don't use it. Hardwire the battery charger to the phone, put it on auto answer and silence the ring. Then hide the phone under your dashboard where it can't easily be seen.

If the car gets stolen, just give the phone number to the police and they can track down the location of the phone. By law, all cell phones sold now have to have a tracking feature to help with 911 calls. The police can also call the phone and listen to what's going on in the car.

The whole car was stolen? Odd. Must have had a Tow Truck or Spare AEM or sometype of ECU that doesn't read the Transponder.

If that is the case a Kill switch won't do much. Get a good Alarm and/or Low Jack with EARLY WARNING.. I can't stress EARLY WARNING enough. That makes it so if you car is moving without the key FOB Low Jack is calling you asking whats going on. They call/contact up to 5 methods Phone, Page, Email, Fax... and combo of 5 you choose.
